XXVII 2016: Grand Canyon

After convening in Las Vegas, we drove for a few hours to our base camp on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. From there we had three days of single track riding. The terrain was varied from wooded to open and right next to the rim. Views, especially sunsets, were amazing. There was great camaraderie in camp including an unforgettable “debate” between ‘Hilary Clinton’ (John Kohl) and ‘Donald Trump’ (Steve Persky). Unfortunately, Steve Persky took a spill on the last day and lacerated his thumb. It later became infected and he spent a night in the hospital!
